2 Would have been nice to have screen doorways for that patio doors so anyone could open them and hear the ocean. The pictures of the residence should be up to date to match the property, it is actually pretty run down and needs attention.
We had an excellent time! Amethyst Dunes was the best little house for our little family from Oklahoma. The location to the beach was well worth it!

that island is nothing short of paradise and like 35 miles from this house. every one of the beaches we secluded and very little people on them. its nowhere close to crowded. cape san blas experienced the most people off all the beaches and even that wasn't what I call crowded". I do recommend bringing bug spray because there are some yellow fly type insects that arrive out in the early morning hours and when the sun starts to set and they do bite. it was nothing that will keep you indoors however. there undoubtedly are a few state parks within the area and every one of them are beautiful. beautiful is surely an understatement to get honest! its a very family friendly place and not the party scene. the people are friendly and their southern draw is too darn cute. this year was the first time I have been to this area in florida and I will make this a yearly holiday. working with pristine properties was simple and easy. they're nice and I most likely talked to all of them before I actually made it to indian go. there is so much I could say but just pack up and go see for yourself. 4 The owner replaced the refrigerator because our last stay two years back, which was needed. I feel that the house owner needs to address a couple of concerns. The main grievance that I have with the residence is the sliding glass doors. Most, Otherwise all, of these really need to become replaced. The door which is used the most (from the residing/kitchen area area into the rear deck) is extremely hard to open.

I’m a big guy and it took the two hands to open. My wife was barely able to open it whatsoever. A smaller or elderly human being will not have the ability to open the door(SAFETY ISSUE)! The assets is as marketed - nothing fancy to the house but superb location about the beach. No, the house just isn't full from the latest and best furnishings, but experienced plenty of place for our family of four, was clean, and had everything we needed. I actually appreciated that there wasn't a great deal of decorations/other "stuff" that our two small kids could potentially break or wreck.
I did love you had 2 king beds that was nice. The coffee table was broken, 2 on the three plastic chairs outside were being damaged. The house really could utilize a good power washing and that would make a big improvement towards the deck. The house has so much potential it really is sad to view it getting run down. I Definitely loved the area, but when improvements are usually not made would not hire house all over again. Definitely recommend going to Port St Joe should you have not !!
